ABCChess LLP ("ABCChess", "we", "us") runs abcchess.org - online chess for students, coaches, teams, and classrooms.

This policy explains what we collect when you use the site and apps, why we need it, and the choices you have.

Account: email, display name, username, age band or age you provide, organisation or coach label if you add one, and profile photo if you upload one.

Play and training: games, puzzle runs, lesson progress, ratings, and (for coaches with sharing on) student progress summaries.

Payments: plan, amount, and Razorpay order / payment ids. Card numbers are handled by Razorpay - we do not store full card details.

Device and session: auth tokens, push-notification subscription endpoints if you allow notifications, approximate browser and device type for reliability.

Optional mobile number only when you verify OTP for your profile. SMS is sent through our SMS provider (AWS SNS).

To run your account: sign-in, ratings, puzzles, lessons, teams, tournaments, and coach-student links you choose.

To process Premium subscriptions and send payment-related receipts or status.

To notify you about challenges, games, tournaments, or training plans when notifications are on.

To keep the service secure (abuse prevention, debugging, and fixing outages).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your games or student data to train third-party public AI models.

If you join with a Coach ID, that coach can see limited profile fields. Progress (ratings, games, puzzles, lessons) is shared only while coach sharing is enabled in your account settings.

You can turn sharing off anytime. Coaches never see students who did not sign up with their Coach ID.

Infrastructure providers that host the product (for example Google sign-in, AWS DynamoDB / SES / SNS / Bedrock where enabled, and Vercel).

Razorpay for checkout and refunds.

Only when required by law, or to protect ABCChess, our users, or the public from fraud or harm.

We keep account and gameplay records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing disputes, abuse review, and legal duties.

You may ask us to delete your account. Some payment and security logs may remain where the law requires.

Update profile and coach-sharing settings in Account.

Turn off push notifications in Account or in your browser / device settings.

Contact us to correct data, export a copy of your profile summary, or request deletion.

ABCChess is built for students, including minors, typically with a parent, guardian, school, or coach involved.

If you believe a child's account was created without appropriate consent, contact us and we will review it promptly.
