By using abcchess.org and related apps ("ABCChess", "the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service.

The service is operated by ABCChess LLP. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

ABCChess is for students, coaches, schools, and anyone learning or teaching chess online.

If you are under the age required by law in your place to form a contract, a parent, guardian, school, or coach should help you create and manage the account.

You must provide accurate signup details and keep your login safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.

We provide online chess play, puzzles, lessons, teams, tournaments, coaching tools, and related features. Features may change as we improve the product.

Some features require a free trial or a paid Premium plan. Availability can depend on your region and plan.

We may suspend or limit access to protect the service, other users, or to enforce these terms.

Do not cheat, abuse, harass, or attempt to break or overload the service.

Do not share accounts in a way that bypasses Premium or coach-student limits, scrape private data, or impersonate others.

Engine assistance or unfair help in rated or tournament play may lead to rating resets, account limits, or removal.

Paid plans are billed through Razorpay. Prices and plan details are shown at checkout.

Refunds and cancellations are described on our Refunds page. Chargebacks or payment disputes may pause Premium until resolved.

Coaches who apply for a coach account must provide accurate information for verification.

Student progress sharing with a coach only applies when the student (or guardian) has linked that coach and sharing is enabled.

Schools and organisations remain responsible for how they enrol students and for obtaining any consent required locally.

ABCChess branding, Pencil King artwork, site design, and our original materials belong to ABCChess LLP or its licensors.

You keep rights to content you submit (such as feedback). You give us a licence to use it to run and improve the service.

Chess game scores and public leaderboard names may be shown inside the product as part of normal play.

The service is provided "as is". We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, ABCChess LLP is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses beyond fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you cannot waive under applicable consumer law.

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.

Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes may also be called out in the product or by email when practical.
